Introduction to Acting - Class 4

This was a fantastic class. I learnt so much. I had the great opportunity to be mentored by Joe Antonuccio who is currently a Lead Animator at Blue Sky Studios. He was working on Ice Age 4 and Epic during this time.

Rokk Mann

Rokk Mann the film is finally finished.
Don't forget to watch in HD!!

Rokk Mann is an animated VFX short film. He is the metaphorical figure of all life. He is born, he learns, he grows and progresses, and, like all living, must return to where he came from.

The backdrop to Rokk Mann's struggle for life is the ancient and rugged landscape of South East Queensland's Main Range National Park, or commonly known as 'The Great Dividing Range'. It was filmed on top of Mt Maroon.

The Morphius Project 2.0

The animation community are a bunch of awesome people. At the Morpheus Project they are making a character (feature film quality) that anyone can customize in a way that is unrecognizable, check out the different variations below from the one character...

On top of all this, it's going to be completely free for noncommercial and commercial use. How awesome is that!!
Morpheus 2.0 is going to be even better, check it out here.

The shoot took 2 days;

Rokk Mann Rough Animation Test

I finally finished rigging and skinning the character. It's capable of loosing all of it's limbs through animated constraints. I originally had him loosing his right arm and his left leg, but then it was changed to loosing his left arm and right leg... then I thought the original was looking better... so I made all limbs breakable for future staging changes in animation.

Timing of the time lapse

I've narrowed it down to 2 versions. You'll notice some jumpy bits at the starts and ends. These parts are where the music will change pace, giving meaning to each other.
In version 1 I have a test piece of music that will inspire my musician. I'm looking for a grand orchestral sound.
